Las recomendaciones en reanimación neonatal no siempre cuentan con suficiente evidencia científica, por lo que el consenso de grupos de expertos basado en la experiencia personal, así como en trabajos científicos, es de gran utilidad para estructurar unos protocolos de actuación prácticos y de fácil comprensión. En las últimas recomendaciones del año 2000 existen algunos cambios respecto a recomendaciones previas que quedan recogidos en el presente texto

The recommendations for neonatal resuscitation are not always based on sufficient scientific evidence and thus expert consensus based on current research, knowledge, and experience are useful for formulating practical protocols that are easy to follow. The latest recommendations, in 2000, modified previously published recommendations and are included in the present text
